April Fashion Finds: Team GWG’s Picks Of The Month
These stylish little numbers are making our hot list right now.
April is a funny month, sartorially speaking. Bright sunshine one minute; heavy showers the next. It can be hard to dress for – but that’s not to say we can’t be inspired by the summer-facing loveliness that abounds in the shops right now. We have our eyes trained on these perfect pieces.
High Waisted Jeans, £54.95

Embrace the Seventies revival á la Daisy Jones & The Six, the highly anticipated TV adaptation of Taylor Jenkins-Reid’s bestselling novel. – Annabel, Contributing Editor
Embellished Scarf, £90

Handmade in the UK, these embellished Indian cashmere scarves are all unique. And all fabulous. – Annabel, Contributing Editor
Patch Pocket Linen Smock Dress, NOW £130

This is the perfect trans-seasonal piece – great with a chunky knit thrown over for cooler moments, but also just right with sandals, sunglasses and a straw summer bag. – Lucy, Shopping Editor
The Petra Mini Drop Earrings, £48

Totally 1990s reminiscent, these teardrop style earrings in silver take me back to my youth – but also come pleasingly oversized for a fresh take. – Lucy, Shopping Editor
Sail Stripe Fisherman Trousers, £130

I love these chocolate brown linen trousers with their subtle balloon style. I’m envisaging wearing them with Birkenstocks and a fresh white T-shirt (chunky cotton knit on-hand for cooler moments) while pottering about the north Norfolk coast this summer. – Nancy, Editor
Addie Dress, £110

I love a wide strap. And I love a good sundress. This brings the two things together beautifully. – Nancy, Editor
Pippin Jumpsuit, £315

I’m wearing my Wiggy Kit Pippin jumpsuit on repeat. It’s perfect for these unpredictable in-between days with a skinny ribbed polo neck underneath now, then with bare ankles as it warms up. It’s such a beautiful heavy-weight deep cranberry coloured canvas that hangs perfectly with a clever integrated belt. Jumpsuit perfection! – Lydia, Lifestyle Editor
Gaucho Skirt, £375

The new SS23 Wiggy Kit collection has got me swooning and dreaming of long summer lunches – the chambray linen skirt is at the top of my wishlist – Lydia, Lifestyle Editor
Striped Girlfriend Shirt, £25

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this gem in M&S. I’ve worn it to every conceivable type of event since. Each time, it is lavished with flattering comments. – Becky, Features Editor
510 Boots, £170

To have a dog or a garden is to need Blundstone boots. I don’t know how I ever lived without mine and am in perpetual fear of them being discontinued. – Becky, Features Editor
San Diego Hat Co. Packable Floppy Hat, £68

I'm a sucker for hats, whatever the weather and this drama queen of a hat rolls up and can be popped into a bag/suitcase. The lovely very wide brim keeps the sun off your face and hides it too if that's what you want. Also available in a fashion forward citron or an asymmetrical version in black. If you've got a wedding coming up or are heading beachside, you're sorted. - Arabella
Red Mix Print Jacket, £110

I saw Kate of Wears My Money (who has kindly agreed to be on this year's GWG Awards' judging panel) wearing this on her Instagram feed. Quilted jackets are all over fashion brands this season and Albaray's version looks great dressed up or down with jeans and a white shirt. Caution though, it's been very popular and they're restocking all the time. Leave your email address and they'll let you know when the jackets next drop. You might find your size at John Lewis. - Arabella
