How To Mantelscape With Our Edit Of Fireplace Decor

You’ve heard of tablescaping, but have you embraced that most Instagrammable trend of mantelscaping? Wink wink.

Quicker and cheaper than redecorating a whole room, turn your attention to dressing your fireplace for wow factor. ‘A mantelscape is an inherently tidy space. Even if the rest of your room looks messy, a mantel can be a grand moment,’ says Bryony Sheridan, a buying manager at Liberty. Here we look at how to spice up your mantelpiece in the same way you might put together a kitchen table for a special occasion.

Treat the shelf above a fireplace as a small canvas to curate your clutter and show off the things you love, be it fresh foliage in statement vases, propped up artwork or heirloom treasures. Play with different shapes, textures and sizes or layer objects to create an eye-catching focal point. Simple pleasures.

Here, we round up our favourite mantelpiece accessories.
