If ever there was a time to go big on Christmas cheer, it’s now. After a year that, to understate wildly, has been turbulent on the world stage, we’d argue that we need to welcome as many opportunities for joy as possible with open arms – and happily, 2025’s crop of festive decorations rises beautifully to the occasion.
Whether your taste leans toward the glimmer of old-fashioned glass, the whimsy of hand-painted figurines, or the quiet elegance of linen garlands and muted metallics, there’s something here to lift every heart. Craftsmanship, as ever, reigns supreme: from Claridge’s beautifully boxed baubles to Rowen & Wren’s delicate needlepoint ornaments, these are the decorations destined to make homes glow and shimmer this Christmas – and, of course, for many more to come.
Three Little Ways to Make Your Decorations Sing
- Follow the light: Place baubles near candles or fairy lights to ensure they glow and shimmer beautifully.
- Mix materials: Combine glass, paper, felt, ribbon and metal for richness and texture.
- Go scent-first:: Dried oranges, pine and clove instantly warm the air.
